Superman awakens and sees Krypto battling Atlas. The mysterious man watching is ordered to blast Krypto with the ray from the satellite that downed Supergirl, but it's ineffective. Atlas proclaims Krypto as "magical," which causes Superman to limp away from the battle, promising Krypto he'll be back. Superman finds Zachary Zatara in Metropolis and gets him to construct a brief spell that will give Superman extra power. Back at the fight, Krypto is finally tiring, but Superman arrives and pounds Atlas beneath the ground, defeating him. Superman proclaims Krypto as the hero in this battle.
