“World of New Krypton, Part Eleven”

In "World of New Krypton, Part Eleven," Superman faces a crisis of loyalty when an assassination attempt on Alura implicates Guild member Tam-Or, but doubts linger as Kal-El and Adam Strange question the evidence. As they follow a lead to Tyr-Van, their investigation takes a dangerous turn when Councilor Zo, backed by Commander Gor, reveals Zod has seized back command—and declares Kal-El a traitor, setting the stage for a shocking confrontation. Written by James Robinson and Greg Rucka, with dynamic art by Pete Woods and Ron Randall, and vivid colors by Nei Ruffino and Blond, the issue's cover by Gary Frank captures the tension in a single, striking image.

When an apparent attempt is made on the life of Alura, all the evidence points to Labor Guild member Tam-Or. Though Councilor Zo urges Kal-El to track down Tam-Or, Kal-El and Adam Strange remain uncertain that Tam-Or was the shooter. After discussing the case with a recovering Zod, the pair seek out Tyr-Van who leads them to Tam-Or. However, they are secretly followed by Councilor Zo, accompanied by Commander Gor, who informs them that Zod has reclaimed the position of General from Kal-El. Zo declares Kal-El a traitor and orders him executed on the spot.
