A young woman named Judy breaks up with her boyfriend Don over his habit of telling exaggerated stories, but when Don ends up in the hospital, Judy realizes she misses him and they reconcile. In "My Masquerade," Kathy borrows Laura Ames's luxurious green satin gown and golden slippers to impress a wealthy suitor named Mr. Ames, but when she encounters her love of her life (Ted) at a restaurant, she fears he will discover her true identity and pretends to be Laura. When Ted later appears at Kathy's house looking for "Laura," Kathy must quickly dress and slip away to meet him outside, and after they recreate their first meeting at the same restaurant, Ted reveals that Laura Ames is actually the woman he thought was Kathy all along.
