The fourth volume of Kid Toussaint and Kenny Ruiz's mythologically inspired series carries a title — L'Impossible Retour — that feels written all over this quietly striking cover: a small, determined young warrior in ancient Greek attire stands at the foot of an enormous, looming shadow cast by a tall, unseen figure, the whole scene bathed in ethereal white mist. That vast shadow dwarfing the boy speaks volumes about the weight of legacy and the long road still ahead. Dupuis continues to back one of the more visually elegant adventure series in the Franco-Belgian tradition.
