# Taffy Comics #1 (1945) This is an anthology issue containing multiple stories. One story features Taffy and animal characters responding to a village-wide fire crisis, where repeated fires break out in strategic locations and a cowardly character transforms into Wonder Worm to help extinguish the flames. Another story, "Trees No Secret," presents a dark and stormy tale told by Nurse Suzy Belle to frightened dolls in a hospital, in which a mysterious knocking at a window terrifies a sleeping girl named Betty as she confronts a grotesque shadow. A third story depicts characters pursuing General Bojo through the Wilder Woods, with Wiggles attempting to stop Bojo's destructive rampage against the village as Bojo demands payment and threatens to return with bombs.
