This anthology issue contains multiple biblical stories. "Young David" depicts the shepherd boy David protecting his flock from a fierce beast and earning recognition for his wilderness skills and bravery. "Moses and Miriam" recounts the birth of Moses during Pharaoh's decree to kill all newborn Israelite boys; Moses' mother hides him in a hut while his sister Miriam watches, and after months in hiding, the family must flee to the river to escape Egyptian soldiers searching the camp. The issue concludes with scenes of Moses being brought before Pharaoh's court, where divine protection and dedication to the gods prevents his execution.
