This anthology issue features multiple stories: a tale about Grandpa, Speck, Spot, and Sis who decide to help with garden weeding on a hot day, eventually convincing each other to go swimming instead, with a wartime message encouraging children to save money for war bonds; "Incident in Narvik," in which young Norwegian Lieutenant Nels Jorgensen is ordered by a Nazi officer to retrieve British invasion plans from Major Olsen, but Nels secretly throws the plans into a river and reports success, only to be discovered when Norse officers arrive at the hut; and a story about a female soldier working with plasma donations during wartime who must leave her duties, expressing faith that her friend Angelo will understand her sacrifice for their countries.
