Korak räddar tre representanter för UNESCO vars flygplan störtat på en klipphylla. När de försöker sätta sig i säkerhet med båt hamnar de i en grotta som leder till Nya Bagdad, en isolerad stad etablerad av persiska köpmän. Korak hjälper kalifen att döda ett sjöodjur, men när kalifen vill gifta sig med Sally, en av biståndsarbetarna, får Korak utnyttja all sin list för att de ska undkomma med livet i behåll.
