This issue contains two stories: "Hotrod Olympics" features Scot Jackson and Shifty Gears competing in racing challenges, where Scot sabotages Shifty's starting position but Shifty pursues him in a high-speed chase. "Backfire," illustrated by Jack Keller, follows Rick Roberts racing against his old adversary Ravon Torro; when Torro attempts a dangerous braking maneuver on a curve that requires no downshifting, Rick's natural reaction causes him to hit the brakes instead, sending Torro's Ferrari into a spin. The issue also includes a "Treasure Chest of Fun" page featuring various novelty items and mail-order products available for purchase.
