# Tell It to the Marines #3 (July 1952) This issue contains two stories: the lead story follows Marines Spike and Bat as they conduct a commando raid on a bridge, setting an explosive charge on the middle span. The mission requires them to work in silence and speed, with the explosive detonating when an enemy ammunition train crosses, successfully destroying the train. In "Lover O'Leary and His Liberty Belles," a Marine named Lover O'Leary pursues romantic encounters with various women, including a Native American woman named Pokey Haunches, while his fellow soldiers follow along to observe his romantic exploits.
