“Trail to Trouble”

In "Trail to Trouble," Heckle and Jeckle turn a scarecrow into a high-tech helper with a stolen electronic brain, only to watch chaos unfold when it comes loose during a wallpapering job at a lady hippo’s home. Jim Tyer’s signature absurd humor takes center stage as the sticky situation spirals in delightfully unpredictable ways. The cover, by Art Bartsch, captures the madness in bold, energetic lines.

Heckle and Jeckle add an electronic brain to a scarecrow and use it as a money-making device to do various household tasks. The electronic part comes loose while the scarecrow is hanging wallpaper in a lady hippo’s house. The papering gets way out of control, in absurd Jim Tyer fashion.
