Eros is sent back in time and matures over thousands of years. With Kang's help, he returns to the moment his younger self left and enlists his brother Thanos' aid, hoping to halt the destruction of Zelchia and other worlds at the hands of Thanos' foe Hunger. In the course of this, Thanos learns in the future he will become the embodiment of death, causing a rift between him and Mistress Death.
