Puma arrives in New York to fulfill his destiny: to kill the Beyonder. He contacts former foe Spider-Man for help and the pair investigate a new cult that seems to have been started by the Beyonder. Spider-Man is disgusted when the cosmic entity is nowhere to be found and leaves Puma to his own devices. Puma meets the Beyonder who blinks him instantly to Japan. Puma flies back to New York City and tries to convince Spider-Man that the Beyonder has to be stopped immediately.
