The Amazing Spider-Man #588
In "Character Assassination Conclusion," Spider-Man and Vin barely escape Ryker's Island as chaos erupts among the inmates. With Carlie racing to expose the truth, Lily’s transformation into Menace forces Spider-Man into a brutal fight—only for Harry, as the Green Goblin, to intervene with a serum that changes everything. The fallout from the frame-up reaches its climax as political power shifts and old enemies face the consequences, all while Norman Osborn quietly assesses the aftermath. Written by Marc Guggenheim and illustrated by John Romita Jr., with inks by Klaus Janson and Tom Palmer, and colors by Dean White, the issue’s cover by John Romita Jr. and Klaus Janson captures the intensity of the moment.
