Beast is ambushed by gunmen and saved by Captain America, who links the attack to Roxxon and the Brand Corporation. As the Avengers regroup, Patsy Walker reveals her connection to Beast, while Iron Man and Moondragon report that Hawkeye has been captured by Kang. Thor and Moondragon attempt a time pursuit but are intercepted by Kang, while the remaining Avengers infiltrate Brand’s base and are defeated and captured by the Squadron Supreme.
