In "Come on in, the Revolution's Fine," the arrival of Valkyrie at Avengers HQ sparks a bold new alliance as she recruits Wasp and the Scarlet Witch to form the Lady Liberators. With the male Avengers distracted at Tom Fagan's Halloween parade, the Masters of Evil strike — only to be swiftly defeated by the Lady Liberators, who prove their strength in a battle that turns personal when Valkyrie's true identity as the Enchantress is revealed. The clash of ideals ignites a fierce gender war that leaves no side unchallenged.

In "The World Is Not for Burning!", the Avengers—Black Knight, Black Panther, Goliath, Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Spider-Man—find themselves fractured after a battle in Arkon’s dimension, each arriving in strange places: Black Knight at Stonehenge, Thor and Black Panther in New York, the rest briefly glimpsing a future Earth scorched by heat. When they regroup, they realize they’ve been thrust into an alternate reality where their counterparts, the Squadron Supreme—American Eagle, Hyperion, Lady Lark, Nighthawk, Hawkeye, Doctor Spectrum, Tom Thumb, and Whizzer—have taken control. As tensions rise, the Avengers learn the Squadron’s satellite project threatens to destroy this world, forcing them to act before it’s too late.
