The first features the Fighting Yank investigating a mystery involving a Rojan treasure called the Tiger's Treasure, which is hidden in a valley and protected by an ancient legend; the story involves encounters with dangerous adversaries and includes references to a shantyboat and various criminal elements. The second story, "Tex Marlin, Stuntman," follows ace movie stuntman Tex Marlin as he becomes involved in a blackmail murder case while a film is being shot, requiring him to use his combat skills and quick thinking to combat cunning criminals, with the plot involving a mysterious element called "The Strange Cigarette."
When a letter from his old school friend Julia Storm reaches the Fighting Yank asking for help finding her missing father, he heads north to the frozen Arctic—only to discover that Julia's dad, the prospector Josh Storm, has struck gold and become the target of ruthless thieves led by the brutal Ace Larson. With only Wolf, Josh's loyal dog, as a witness to the crime, the Fighting Yank must track the killers across the brutal tundra before they vanish with a fortune in gold nuggets and cover their tracks permanently.
John Foster's cherished showboat—a floating relic of old-time entertainment—falls into the hands of gamblers who transform it into a floating casino, forcing the Fighting Yank to battle the crooks threatening Foster's life and his daughter's safety. When the villains chain the Yank to the paddlewheel as the boat moves downriver, he must break free and reclaim the showboat before it's too late.
The Fighting Yank finds himself swept into an East Indian intrigue when Prince Kallin's palace comes under attack by drugged assassins working for the criminal Footloose—a scheme that masks a deeper plot to steal the Rajah's legendary treasure hidden in a sacred valley. When Prince Kallin's brother vanishes seeking funds from the hidden vault, the Yank must venture into the mist-shrouded valley to confront both the ruthless criminals and the great tiger that guards the ancient wealth. With treachery, danger, and a fortune beyond measure at stake, the Yank races to stop Footloose and his gang before they claim the treasure for themselves.
Movie stunt man Tex Marlin rescues a drowning woman from a river, but she dies moments later—and her strange refusal of a cigarette sets his detective instincts ablaze. When Tex discovers the dead woman was a lawyer mixed up in a blackmail scheme, he breaks into her home and tangles with thugs desperate to recover a mysterious pack of cigarettes, launching him into a dangerous chase that will expose a killer's plot.
