The Justice Machine #2
In "Return to Georwell," the Machiners regroup after their fall from power, determined to reclaim Earth by locating the lost Dimensional Transporter hidden within their abandoned facility. Splitting into pairs to search the ruins, they’re ambushed and captured by the Guardians—newly appointed super-humans who’ve taken over as Earth’s protectors, replacing the outlawed Justice Machine. Only Talisman manages to escape, leaving the fate of the Machiners—and the future of Earth—uncertain. Written and illustrated by Michael Gustovich, with inks by William F. Loebs and Charlie Wallace, and colors by Joe Zabel, this 1981 Noble Comics issue features a cover by Mike Gustovich and Terry Austin.

The Machiners regroup and decide to return to Earth, but they need to find the Dimensional Transporter to get there. They split up in groups of two to search the facility for the Transporter only to be defeated in battle and captured by the Guardians. The Guardians are another group of super-humans, the new replacements for the outlawed Justice Machine. Only Talisman escapes capture. The Guardians replaced Challenger at one point prior to the group splitting up, and that aided in the Machiners' defeat.
