The Legion of Super-Heroes in the 31st Century #20
In "Metallo 3000," the Legion of Super-Heroes faces a shocking twist when a figure claiming to be Metallo launches an attack on Superman, only to be thwarted by his Legionnaire allies. Written by Jack Briglio and illustrated by Phil Moy with inks by John Stanisci, this 2009 issue sees the team uncover the deception behind the assault—revealing the imposter as Tharok in disguise—while Superman recovers the stolen kryptonite and returns it to a distracted Brainiac 5. The cover, by Sanford Greene and Nathan Massengill, captures the moment of confrontation with bold, futuristic flair.
