This anthology issue contains two main stories. "The Outlaw Brothers" follows two Southern outlaws from the 19th century who plot to branch off together, with one attempting to persuade his brother to leave their current path, though their plans are ultimately thwarted when sheriffs trap them in a saloon, resulting in their deaths. "Rustler's Warning" features the Lone Rider confronting rustlers and subsequently becoming involved in a conflict with Apache warriors on the plains; after a battle where the painted Apache attack white settlers, a lone survivor—a newly arrived white boy—is taken by an Apache woman who intends to raise him as her own.
