About this Collection

This thirteenth volume of the manga adaptation of the Haruhi Suzumiya series continues the story of Kyon and his encounters with the eccentric SOS Brigade leader. It collects chapters from the ongoing manga, adapting light novel storylines with art by Gaku Tsugano. This edition is part of Yen Press's release of the series, which began in 2012.

In "Editor-in-Chief * Full Speed Ahead! III," Kyon wraps up his story, only to face Haruhi’s immediate curiosity about the heroine’s real-life inspiration. Meanwhile, Mikuru and Kyon stumble upon a surprising revelation: the essay Haruhi wrote could one day revolutionize the science of time travel. Written by Nagaru Tanigawa and Paul Starr, with art and inks by Gaku Tsugano and letters by Alexis Eckerman, this 2012 issue features a cover by Gaku Tsugano.

When Miyokichi "Miyokichi" Yoshimura dares Kyon to explore a supposedly haunted abandoned house, the S.O.S. Brigade is dragged into the mystery—Haruhi insisting on investigating the paranormal, Kyon’s little sister tagging along for the chaos, and the rest of the group caught in the usual mix of absurdity and suspense. With Yuki Nagato’s quiet presence, Mikuru Asahina’s nervous energy, Itsuki Koizumi’s odd calm, and Taniguchi’s reluctant curiosity, what starts as a dare quickly spirals into something far stranger.
