The Multiversity Guidebook #1
"Maps and Legends" from The Multiversity Guidebook #1 (2015) delivers a layered, visually rich journey across DC’s multiverse, with Grant Morrison weaving together disparate realities through the eyes of two Batsmen—one from Earth-17, the other from Earth-42—each confronting the aftermath of a Sivana-led assault. Marcus To and Scott McDaniel’s dynamic art, enhanced by the vivid colors of Dave McCaig and Hi-Fi and the precise inks of Marcus To and Paulo Siqueira, brings to life a story where comic books themselves hold secrets, and the New Gods observe a shifting cosmic balance. Rian Hughes’ striking cover captures the mystery at the heart of this interconnected tale.

The Batman of Earth-17 arrives on Earth-42 looking for the Cosmic Grail but finds the Batman of that universe reeling from an attack from the Legion of Sivanas. The Batman of Earth-42 tries to make sense of the situation by examining a comic book a Sivana left behind. Meanwhile, on Earth-51 Kamandi and his companions seek Flower while the New Gods watch and discuss how the revival of Darkseid is connected to the creation of the multiverse. Back on Earth-42, the Batman of Earth-17 sends his counterpart to Earth-17 and he joins with the heroes united against the assault on the multiverse.
