The Savage Sword of Kull #2

Oct 2011 · Dark Horse · 19.99 USD; 21.99 CAD
“The Lair”

In "The Lair," Kull’s past collides with his present as he returns to the tribe that once cast him out, unaware that a hidden sister—raised in secret by the shaman Ram-os—has been living in the shadows. When Kull rescues a young woman from a deadly tiger, their fated meeting sets off a chain of revelations that will challenge everything he thought he knew about his origins. Written by Roy Thomas and illustrated with bold, dynamic art by E. R. Cruz, this story unfolds with a mythic weight, grounded in mystery and the quiet power of forgotten bloodlines. The cover, by John Bolton, captures the raw intensity of Kull’s world.

More than a decade ago, Ram-os rescued two orphaned infant twins. Ba-Dar would have had both murdered because of a prophecy, but Ram-os reared Iraina in secret and Kull was carried off by tigers. Since Kull returned to the tribe, the shaman has cared for both, though the tribe does not know of Iraina's existence. She and Kull know nothing of each other until one day Kull saves her from a tiger.
