“Attend -- or Die!”

"Attend — or Die!" kicks off a high-stakes game of cat-and-mouse in The Secret Society of Super-Villains #1 (2011), written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Rich Buckler, with inks by Bob Layton and colors by Jerry Serpe and Drew Moore. When Captain Comet infiltrates the Society’s base only to find it abandoned, the villains watch his every move through their still-active surveillance—setting the stage for a tense confrontation. Meanwhile, Kid Flash, suspecting betrayal by The Trickster, follows a lead that leads him straight into a trap, only to be ambushed by the Society themselves. Cover by Ernie Chan.
