The Silver Coin continues its anthology of dread with issue #8, subtitled "Rising & Falling in America," brought to you by the creative team of Matthew Rosenberg and Michael Walsh. The cover — rendered by Walsh — presents a blood-soaked mop bucket overflowing with crimson, a severed head and dismembered limbs submerged within it, the whole grim tableau set against a stark black background that makes every drip of red hit that much harder. It's unsettling in exactly the way this series excels at, promising another sharp, character-driven horror story where an ordinary object becomes something deeply, irrevocably wrong.
