In "Sleeping Dogs," Spider-Man faces a devious impostor when the Space Phantom, disguised as She-Hulk, traps him in a pit and launches a bizarre assault. Forced to clear his name, Spider-Man storms Avengers Mansion seeking answers, only to find Captain America quickly dispelling the illusion. Meanwhile, Mary Jane is unsettled by a series of persistent and unsettling phone calls from an unknown caller named Jason Jerome. Written by Gerry Conway and illustrated by Sal Buscema, with colors by Bob Sharen and Renee Witterstaetter, this 1990 issue features a cover by Sal Buscema.
