In "The Spirit," the masked vigilante must stop a criminal named Niechevo, a Siberian sleuth who has come to Central City. The Spirit works with Flatfoot Burns to prevent a bank robbery, with Flatfoot posing as a radio operator to intercept the crook's plans. When Niechevo attempts to steal diamonds hidden in the bank vault, the Spirit pursues him, ultimately recovering the stolen goods and foiling the criminal's scheme.
