Disciple and the Moiri Clan battle Lord Hunter and the Tao Hunters in Antarctica. As Mary tries to clean up the ruins of San Francisco, she learns that she failed in killing the Tao Dragon formed by Jasmine and Lance. Lang brings the kids before the Jaikap Clan Grandmaster who decides that Jasmine is too uncontrollable to possess the Spirit of the Tao and orders her killed. Lang refuses to allow her to be executed, however, and they make their escape. Angry at recent events, Jasmine decides to become the protector of Mother Earth by destroying humanity and leaves Lance and Lang behind.
