The Swamp Thing #12

The penultimate chapter of The Swamp Thing: Season Two arrives with issue #12 of 16, subtitled "Industrial Horror" — and that tagline earns every word. Mike Perkins and colorist Mike Spicer deliver a cover drenched in sickly greens and rusted gold, where a massive, anguished Swamp Thing looms behind an enormous arrangement of gears and drive chains, while a composed, blue-suited figure sits at its center as though enthroned by machinery. Ram V's "Jericho's Rose Part 2" promises a collision between the organic and the industrial that this 2022 DC series has been building toward beautifully.
