The Uncanny X-Men #173
In "To Have and Have Not," Wolverine and Rogue track the Silver Samurai and Viper through the streets of Tokyo, leading to a tense confrontation in a Ginza bar where violence and loyalty collide. With Rogue gravely injured and Wolverine’s instincts pushing him to the edge, a desperate act of touch offers a fragile hope—while Mariko’s decision at the wedding altar casts a shadow over Logan’s future. Written by Chris Claremont and illustrated by Paul Smith, with inks by Bob Wiacek and colors by Glynis Wein, this 1983 issue captures the emotional intensity and high stakes of the X-Men’s global missions, all wrapped in a cover by Paul Smith that perfectly frames the chaos.
