Outfitted with new armor, Sunfire accidentally opens a portal to another dimension. Intercepting a distress call, the X-Men aid Sunfire against the Posse Comitatus. The portal void ruptures and Sunfire and the X-Men are pulled into it. Burke and Stylles slaughter numerous people before being killed by Bishop and the XSE. Bishop vows to hunt down all the escaped Lifers.
