The Uncanny X-Men #524

Jul 2010 · Marvel · 2.99 USD

In the wake of Nightcrawler’s heroic sacrifice, the X-Men gather at Utopia to mourn their fallen brother, their grief palpable as Hope finally meets the team—including Cyclops, her father. With Donald Pierce and Bastion already moving in secret, Cyclops dispatches the X-Club to investigate, while Wolverine, consumed by rage, leads X-Force on a dangerous path of their own. Written by Matt Fraction and illustrated by Terry Dodson with inks by Rachel Dodson, this pivotal issue captures the emotional weight of loss and the fragile resolve of a team reeling from a devastating turn. The cover, by Adi Granov, reflects the solemnity of the moment with striking, somber detail.
