The X-Men execute several different plans to stop Juggernaut from reaching San Francisco. Each attempt fails forcing Cyclops to ask prisoner Magik for help. She translates the runes left in Juggernaut’s wake: “Kuurth, the Breaker of Stone hails the Serpent”. The mantra gives her an idea that may stop the rampaging engine of destruction, but the risky plan includes her release and taking Colossus and Shadowcat to confront Cyttorak. Meanwhile, tension and fear between humans and mutants escalates as Juggernaut approaches, and a new danger emerges from within Utopia.
