The world thinks Adrian Chase is dead but he is really back in New York with a new identity provided by the government so he can continue working with Harry and Harvey on covert cases. Harry even brings Black Thorn in to keep him company. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure dressed in knock-off Vigilante gear begins popping up all over town and killing those who prey on street people. Adrian and Thorn decide to investigate this "homeless avenger."
