The story of actress Allison Hayes, who starred in the 1958 movie, "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman." Hayes suffered lead poisoning due to the high levels of lead in calcium supplements, and urged the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate dietary supplements. Hayes died before word is received by the FDA that they were considering heavy metal restrictions in supplements and her case was being cited as a key point in the FDA's actions.
