Issue sixteen of Warren Ellis and Jon Davis-Hunt's methodical, tension-soaked WildStorm reinvention delivers a cover that stops you cold: a gun-wielding man stares upward in alarm as a shadowy, glowing-eyed figure clings inverted to a rain-slicked grid of windows above him, the whole scene bathed in a deeply unsettling crimson. Overlaid text referencing Newton's law of gravitation and the chilling label "Gravitational Field Negation" hint at the hard-SF underpinning that makes this series so distinctive. Davis-Hunt's precise linework and Buccellato's stark red palette make this one of 2018's most visually arresting covers in the series' 24-issue run.
