Tippy's Friends Go-Go and Animal #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis anthology issue contains two main stories: In the first, Go-Go receives perfumed stationery from a mysterious admirer in New York City and becomes jealous, suspecting her boyfriend Tommy is involved in a competition with another girl. The second story features Go-Go and Animal on a rooftop adventure where they encounter two men in blue uniforms, leading to a comedic chase sequence involving a breeze that causes mishaps. The issue also includes a "Let's Go Team" feature celebrating reader submissions from various locations including Hawaii, Mexico, and California.
Animal's been keeping his nose clean for two weeks—but when he accidentally launches a paper airplane made from a piece of the morning mail, a chaotic chain reaction sends the letter careening through the school, bouncing off teachers, students, and experiments in increasingly wild fashion. As Animal and Principal Phogg scramble to retrieve the mysteriously important envelope before it's lost for good, the letter takes a final tumble right back where it started.
When Tippy discovers a perfumed letter addressed to her boyfriend Tommy from a mysterious girl named Susie Sweet, jealousy takes hold and won't let go—even as Tommy refuses to explain who she is. As suspicion eats away at their relationship, Tippy must learn whether the green-eyed monster of jealousy will destroy what they have together.
Animal gets a glowing horoscope from his astrology-loving pal Egghead, who assures him it's his lucky day and he's immune to danger—so naturally, Animal goes out rescuing cats from trees and dodging traffic with newfound confidence. But when Egghead tracks him down with a correction (he used the wrong chart!), Animal learns this is actually supposed to be one of his worst days, sending him on a frantic race to avoid accidents before the day ends.
When Animal offers to drive Go-Go and her father to a new factory site, what should be a simple favor turns into a wild rescue mission after the elder Mr. West gets stuck dangling from the construction site's equipment. Animal must navigate a series of mishaps and malfunctions to bring the man safely down—though the chaos that unfolds is anything but straightforward.
Animal's romantic plans go hilariously awry when a love note meant for Go-Go lands on the wrong desk, accidentally setting up a date with Sara Lee Cakewalk instead—and now he's scrambling to juggle both commitments on the same night. When Go-Go unexpectedly shows up at the magic show where Animal is volunteering as an assistant to the Great Zambini, his deception unravels in front of the whole audience, leading to some spectacular (and illusory) consequences. It's a wild tangle of mistaken intentions, mixed signals, and stage magic gone comically wrong.
