This is the first volume of the original Japanese edition of Tokyo Mew Mew, the magical girl manga series created by Reiko Yoshida and illustrated by Mia Ikumi. Published by Kōdansha in 2001, it collects the opening chapters of the story, introducing protagonist Ichigo Momomiya as she is fused with the DNA of an endangered species and becomes part of a team of girls tasked with protecting the Earth from alien threats.
