Tom Corbett, Space Cadet #6

Tom Corbett and fellow space cadets are dispatched to investigate a mysterious spear found by the Solar Guards, which Professor Brillon believes is evidence of an alien civilization. The cadets discover a planet inhabited by giant intelligent ants and must defend themselves while attempting peaceful communication. After being captured by the ants, they manage to escape and are rescued by the spearmen, learning that the ants had actually captured Professor Brillon. The cadets must work together to overcome obstacles including the giant ant stampede and navigate back to their ship for extraction.
