Tom Mix Commandos Comics #12

"Tom Mix and the Terrible Talons of Tokyo" follows Tom Mix as he battles giant pterodactyl creatures on an island. Tom escapes the monsters' initial assault, then encounters a mysterious figure who reveals himself to be a scientist conducting experiments to breed these prehistoric reptiles for use as weapons. The story culminates in Tom's effort to stop the scientist's scheme and destroy the creatures, including a climactic sequence where the pterodactyls are eliminated through the scientist's own laboratory equipment.
