A detective story in which a wounded man is brought to Dr. Justice's office seeking help. The doctor treats the injury and learns the man was shot while hunting rabbits, but later discovers the wound came from a more sinister source—a squealer who informed on criminals and was found dead in the harbor. After Dr. Justice reports the gun-wound to police, the man flees, and the doctor is confronted by a mysterious figure who threatens him, warning that if the man had been discovered, "it might be very unhealthy for you." The story concludes with the man and accomplices attempting to evade pursuit across rough terrain while being hunted by law enforcement, culminating in a fatal fall down a slope and the identification of the body by an unnamed inspector.
