Tops is an anthology of dramatic picture stories in color. Featured stories include "Our Explosive Children," about a young man named John Smith who graduates high school and faces family pressure to attend college and prepare for a successful future; a romance titled "Victory Dance," in which a woman named Helene becomes caught in a love triangle at a dance event; and "The Great Railroad Builders," a historical narrative celebrating the Union Pacific Railroad's construction across America, depicting how the railroad was built and its importance to the nation's progress.
