Trouble Magnet #4
In "The Memory Conflict," Witlock finds himself in orbit when his rogue memory bank hijacks a space rocket, forcing him to confront his former independent ex-bank in a battle for control of the International Space Station—and possibly Earth. Back on Earth, the military covers up the incident, and Witlock begins rebuilding his life with new, meaningful moments among friends. Written by Ryder Windham and illustrated by Kilian Plunkett, with colors by Chris Chuckry and letters by Willie Schubert, this 2000 issue features a striking cover by Kilian Plunkett.

Witlock's rogue memory bank hijacks a space rocket, but Witlock snags a ride. In space, he confronts his independent ex-bank, who wants an alliance to take over the International Space Station, then the Earth. Witlock can't trust his senses as he's manipulated by a fake Eileen Miles pleading, but he knows she's not real. He blows up the memory bank, saving the ISS and Earth. Back home, the military covers up, and Witlock "builds good memories" with his friends.
