“The Beasts in the Jungle!”

In "The Beasts in the Jungle!", T'Challa, newly arrived in New York City for a Wakandan mission at the U.N., begins to sense a looming crisis rooted in America—driven not by psychic powers, but by his heightened instincts from vibranium exposure. As he patrols the streets, he encounters Klaw, unconscious and stripped of his sound horn by a new, street-level Thunderbolts gang. Meanwhile, Monica Lynne and Kevin Trublood arrive from Georgia, followed closely by Windeagle, setting the stage for a convergence of forces. Written by Ed Hannigan and illustrated by Jerry Bingham with inks by Gene Day, colors by Nelson Yomtov, and letters by John Costanza and Rick Parker, this issue features a striking cover by Bill Sienkiewicz and Joe Rubinstein.

T'Challa opens a Wakandan mission to the U.N. in New York City. He reveals to Captain America that his exposure to raw vibranium heightened his natural instincts (not telepathy or clairvoyance) to feel things and sense crisis points. The nexus of an upcoming crisis is located in America. The Black Panther encounters Klaw wandering the streets of New York and sees him knocked out and his sound horn stolen by a new version of the Thunderbolts street gang. Monica Lynne and Kevin Trublood arrive in New York from Georgia followed by Windeagle.
