When a man tries to steal Wendy's luggage at a Canadian railroad station, Cass intervenes and stops him. Wendy explains to Cass that the luggage contains love letters written by a man from Windy Creek and she is going there with the intention of marrying her pen pal, although he doesn't know it yet. When she gets to Windy Creek, she discovers Josh can't read or write and it was Cass who wrote the letters for him.
