“Many Ways of Love”

In "Many Ways of Love," novice stewardess Laurie finds herself drawn to pilot Tim, whose doubts about her inexperience give way to something deeper after a tense emergency landing leaves them stranded together. As their bond grows, a mysterious government flight and a sudden crash test their trust—only to reveal a surprising twist in timing and loyalty. William Weltman’s art, inked by Jack Abel, brings emotional nuance to this heartfelt 1955 tale, while Ken Bald’s cover captures the quiet intensity of the moment.

Novice stewardess Laurie falls in love with pilot Tim, but he is critical of her youth and inexperience. When their aircraft makes an emergency landing, Tim and Laurie wait by the plane and fall in love. Tim chooses Gwen to accompany him on his next flight, and Laurie thinks he was only using her, then learns it was a “secret government flight” so she couldn't have gone along. Tim crashes and is injured, but will recover and marry Laurie.
