“Frente al Hotel Ritz”

"Frente al Hotel Ritz" is a standout moment in the quirky, high-stakes world of Toody and Muldoon, as the duo patrols outside the Ritz Hotel to keep peace for a Maharaja with 100 wives. When their relief arrives in an accident, Toody ducks duty to umpire a sandlot baseball game—only to find a thief named Slippery Fingers burying stolen diamonds nearby. With the clock ticking and his cover at risk, Toody must outwit the criminal without breaking his cover. Illustrated with sharp, expressive energy by Tony Tallarico, this 1963 gem from Editorial Novaro is a classic blend of slapstick and suspense.

Toody and Muldoon are parked outside the Ritz hotel to keep anyone from making noise which would disturb a Maharaja with 100 wives. When their relief patrolmen are involved in an accident, Toody slips away to umpire a sandlot baseball game. A thief called Slippery Fingers steals some diamonds from the Maharaja and is burying them in a lot near the game Toody is umpiring. Toody captures the thief, but can't claim credit because he is supposed to be on duty at the hotel with Muldoon.
