The little people have obtained enough fuel to take them back to earth and take off. They then discover Fitzhugh is suffering from an unknown virus and they cannot take the chance of spreading it on earth so turn back and land again on the land of the giants. The medical students that helped them to get the fuel come up with the antidote for the virus.
