Matt defends Major Dixon for selling army goods. Dixon is discharged from the army. Dixon allies himself to the Apaches and gives them guns plus a strength potion which creates a massive stallion and grants Roaring Bear superhuman strength. The Apaches and Dixon attack Fort Henry, with the Two-Gun Kid and Boom-Boom helping defend the base but not even Boom-Boom's strength can match Roaring Bear, although the Kid proves a superior fighter. Finally the Apaches retreat, hurling dynamite at the fort. Still loyal to the flag, Dixon smothers the explosion, sacrificing his life.
