U.S. Fighting Air Force #26

This issue contains two stories. "Hero on His Own" follows Captain Dave Gaines, who is determined to protect his younger brother when the boy arrives in Korea as a newly qualified pilot. Dave's protective instincts put him at odds with Jim, an understanding friend, and a chaplain who must teach Dave a needed lesson about faith and fate as he blazes through the skies. "Powerhouse's Surprise" depicts Powerhouse Perkins returning from a long posting in the Orient, expecting peace and quiet, but instead finding himself unexpectedly famous overnight and handed the wrong key to the city, leading to unforeseen complications for the unwilling hero.
